Neuroscience

Program of Study

Students who wish to declare a neuroscience major should notify the Office of Records and Registration.

PSYCH 101: Introduction to Psychological Science with a C or higher is a pre-requisite for all psychology courses.

To qualify for PSYCH 300: Statistics for the Social Sciences, students must have completed MATH 135 with a C or higher.

To qualify for PSYCH 301: Research Methods, students must have completed PSYCH 290 with a C or higher OR BIOL 255 with a C or higher, and PSYCH 300 with a C or higher.

Graduation with a B.S. in neuroscience requires a grade of C or higher in every course required for the major.

Transfer students who wish to obtain a B.S. degree in neuroscience from Saint Xavier University must pass at least five 300-level major courses at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ with a grade of C or higher.

Students wishing to also major in Psychology must also complete a minimum of 15 distinct credit hours in Psychology.

Students wishing to minor in Psychology must complete a minimum of 9 credit hours in Psychology distinct from the Psychology courses taken to complete the Neuroscience major.

Students wishing to minor in Biology must complete a minimum of 9 credit hours in Biology distinct from the Biology courses taken to complete the Neuroscience major.

Neuroscience Major (B.S.)

B.S. degree requires the completion of the general education program and 68-71 credit hours to fulfill the Neuroscience degree.
